Topicals is an independent guide to what you put on your skin, written for Indian skin and Indian weather.
Why Topicals exists
Most skincare advice online is written for a different climate, different skin tones and products that are not sold here. We want useful answers for 85% humidity in Mumbai, a UV index of 10 in Jaipur and poor winter air in Delhi, on Indian skin, with products you can actually buy in India.
What we publish
- Ingredient guides that explain what an active does, the strength worth buying and what to pair it with.
- Sunscreen and product reviews based on our own use, with prices and price per ml.
- Routines and quick fixes for common problems, written in plain language.
- Free tools such as the Ingredient Clash Checker and live UV index and AQI by city.
Our promises
- We buy the products we review with our own money.
- We say what did not work, not only what did.
- We show prices and price per ml on the date we checked them.
- We update articles when prices, formulas or evidence change.
- Brands cannot pay for coverage, a better rating or a higher position.
How we make money
Some links on Topicals are affiliate links: if you buy through them, the shop may pay us a small commission at no extra cost to you. Some pages may show clearly labelled ads. Neither affects what we recommend. Read our affiliate disclosure, editorial policy and how we test.
